Bishop Sheard gathering the saints at high noon at Liberal Trinity COGIC

JANS – Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Senior Pastor of the 3,000 member Greater Emmanuel Institutional COGIC, and National Chairman of the Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) Convention of the Churches of God in Christ, Inc., will be the guest speaker at a National AIM rally convening at Liberal Trinity Church of God in Christ, 725 W. Northside Dr., Jackson, MS, on January 14, 2012 at 12 Noon.
The AIM Convention is the 2nd largest gathering of the saints of the Church of God in Christ.  It convenes every July in a different city around the USA.  In July of 2012 the AIM Convention will be in Birmingham, AL, and Bishop Sheard will be prsiding over this convention.  Each jurisdiction inside the COGIC organization has itʼs own AIM Convention on the state level, leaving an economic impact on each city they convene in.
Under Bishop Sheards leadership the AIM convention has had some of itʼs most successful years.  Previous to his Chairmanship of AIM, Sheard served as the International President of the COGIC Youth Department.  Sheard has had over 16 years of national leadership experience, which will come in handy, during his campaign to be elected to the the Presidium of the church, aka The General Board.  This board serves as the Executive Leadership Branch of the Church of God in Christ, and is arguably the most powerful board in all of pentecostalism. Sheard will be a great contributor to this board with his vast leadership experience, charismatic and progressive personality and willingness to work with others.
Bishop Sheard is married to the Grammy Award winning gospel singer Karen Clark-Sheard, and father of Grammy Nominee, Stellar and Dove Award winning Kierra “kiki” Sheard, and music producer J. Drew Sheard II.
