Campaign to save life of Lavaree Jones gets TV, radio support

The Jackson area community came out to WMPR-90.1 FM on Saturday, May 12, 2012, to financially contribute to the Lavaree Jones Heart Care Fund. A total of $200,000 is needed immediately to meet the surgical needs of the longtime civil rights activist, Mississippi Democratic Party leader, and local realtor/appraiser. Pictured above are Jones’ sister, Aurelia Jones-Taylor (right), and daughter, Fummilayo Bannerman Tilden, letting WMPR’s listening audience know how much their support of their love one is appreciated. “We are grateful to Mr. Charles Evers and the entire WMPR staff for allowing us this opportunity to share our story of hope and determination. Please continue to contribute,” stated Tilden. Please send donations to Aurelia Jones-Taylor for Lavaree Jones Heart Care Fund, Regions Bank, 211 East Second Street, P.O.
