Jackson Municipal Airport Authority hires new Chief Operating Officer

The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is pleased to announce that Perry J. Miller has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer at Jackson Municipal Airport Authority. Perry J. Miller, served as General Manager at William P. Hobby International Airport, in Houston, TX.

Prior to this appointment, Miller oversaw the re-establishment of international service at Hobby, an initiative that had been in the works for years. His day to day duties and responsibilities include the daily operations of the facility, development and implementation of procedures, as well as preparation, implementation and monitoring of the budget and expenditures for Hobby.

Mr. Miller has held a number of influential positions at HOU, serving as the Interim Senior Airport Manager and Assistant Director of Maintenance both at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. In addition, he served as General Manager, Ellington Airport and Airport Business Development Coordinator within the Properties Division of the Houston Airport System. Perry Miller joined HAS in 1991 as a management intern and leaves behind a legacy of excellence.

Mr. Miller is an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE), a member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Airway Science-Management from Texas Southern University and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Management and is designated as an International Airport Professional (IAP).
