Mississippi brought home the gold and bronze from the National ACT-SO Competition during the 104th Annual NAACP National Convention in Orlando, Florida last week. Congratulations to John Eze Uzodinma II, a graduating senior from Madison Central High School, who received the gold medal in Music Instrumental Classical; Krystal Jackson, an upcoming senior from Murrah High School, who received the gold medal in Music Vocal Classical; and Jasmine Miller, a graduating senior from Jim Hill High School, who received the bronze medal in Sculpture. Also, congratulations goes to the Mississippi NAACP ACT-SO Chairperson Ms. Lolita Bolden and all of the volunteers who contributed to these students’ success. A total of nine Mississippi students participated in the National ACT-SO Competition.
