Small business owner makes her dream a reality in the capital city

JANS – Keisha Marie Alexander is the style visionary behind Posh Boutique. As the proprietor and buyer, she is responsible for ensuring that every woman who patronizes her store feels “posh” (meaning superior or larger than life) in their purchase.

Alexander gathered her fashion sense from her many moves around the country – California, Georgia, and New York. With the hopes of one day opening her own boutique in her hometown, the Jackson native eventually made her way back down south where she studied Fashion Merchandising at Holmes Community College.

Posh Boutique began as an online store but warranted expansion due to the extreme rise in clientele. The former spokesmodel opened the doors to her very first store in early 2010. Since opening, Alexander has built a diverse and loyal customer base due to the fashionable variety that her store offers. Women of any size can find professional, casual, and party wear at Posh.  They can also find accessories, shoes, and handbags to complete their new “posh” fit.

Now, Alexander is seeing the success that Posh is commanding. The boutique is frequented by celebrity stylist Jason Bolin who has dressed the likes of supermodel and reality TV star Cynthia Bailey, gospel singer Jessica Reedy, and actresses Nicole Ari Parker and Terri Vaughn.  Posh wear has also been featured in In Style; Lucky; Denim Magazine; Young, Black, and Fabulous (; and

Alexander is living her reality as a successful business owner and stylist of women across the city. She is also a certified phlebotomist and nail tech. From time to time, Alexander works in the entertainment industry on movie sets and commercials.
