Lady Tiger Softball Falls in the Elimination Game 6-0 to ASU


DECATUR, Ala. – The Jackson State women’s softball teams run to the Southwestern Athletic Championship title ends in a 6-0 loss to Alabama State in an elimination game.

The Lady Tigers completed the game with six hit and no errors but was unable to convert the hits into runs. ASU scored six runs on 12 hits with 2 errors.

Lyndsey Colvin led JSU from the plate with three at-bats and two hits while Smith covered first base to lead defensively with seven putouts.

Kelsey Townsend pitched her last collegiate game for the loss, ending her season 17-15.
